This is a two part organization with a local, global strategy. One part is Cabrini Connections, a site based, non-school tutor/mentor program that aims to connect inner city youth with workplace volunteers in on-going relationship-building activities that influence the aspirations and lifeskills of a youth, build also educating and engaging the volunteer as a long-term mentor, coach, advocate, leader, capacity builder. The global part of our organization is the Tutor/Mentor Connection, which is a knowledge center, advocate, and intermediary, which seeks to help programs like Cabrini Connections be more available to k-12 youth in all high poverty neighborhoods of Chicago, Detroit and other large cities. |

Intern will work on one visualization project converting a Tutor/Mentor Connection concept or idea into an on-line animation/communication that helps site visitors better understand and respond to the messages provided at http://www.tutormentorexchange.net/Partner/CC/Presentations/CC_presentat... . Intern can complete a project started but not completed by previous interns or can start new project based on review of essays on T/MC site and amount of work that can be completed in a week. The finished project will be part of the communications resources of the T/MC and will be viewed by people from around the world that we want to recruit as supporters and leaders in the Tutor/Mentor Connection's strategies.
