What is SI's Alternative Spring Break? |

The School of Information's Alternative Spring Break places interested and motivated graduate students, during the week of Spring Break, in professional work environments in the public sector where they can...
School of Information students are placed in non-profit, cultural, governmental, and educational institutions in New York City, Chicago, and Washington D.C. Participating students do not receive course credit for this experience, but the School of Information, along with alumni and corporate donors and ASB Fundraising proceeds, supports their travel and lodging costs. Students are asked to make a $25 donation and to cover personal dining expenses and local transportation, if necessary, from their lodging to their host organization.
