Investigators at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine have received a five-year contract from the National Institutes of Health Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research to create Resources for Training in Evidence-Based Behavioral Practice (EBBP). Working with a multidisciplinary panel of experts, we are developing a web site to
(1) promote communication about traditions of evidence-based practice in the major health disciplines,
(2) disseminate information about concepts, methods, and tools used in EBBP,
(3) provide educators with tools for teaching evidence-based concepts and skills to students and practitioners, and
(4) foster research-to-practice translation and practice-based research.
Additional project information is available online at http://www.ebbp.org.

The EBBP project (Resources for Training in Evidence-Based Behavioral Practice) has developed a website to disseminate project information, to promote communication regarding behavioral health research and practice across disciplines, and to serve as a platform for online training modules. A beta version of the website is now live at http://www.ebbp.org. Based on a user evaluation survey, additional dynamic features have been added to the beta version, to disseminate behavioral health research and news items and to promote more active participation by website users. The SI student will work with the project team to evaluate this new Forum section of the website, and to formulate suggestions for additional website improvements.

The SI Alternative Spring Break is open to graduate students of the University of Michigan's School of Information. Undergraduates looking for Alternative Spring Break opportunities should look into the University of Michigan Alternative Spring Break program administered by U-M's Ginsberg Center.
